We did not make it to the summit but stopped around 50 m short.
The road was dry aside from two tiny snow patches all the way to the “Subaru parking” for Brandywine, where we parked. We didn’t see anyone else on the road or in the parking from when we left the ATV club at the bottom to when we got back to our car at the end.
Snow started at 1430 m and was continuous from 1460 m. The trail is basically just a cat track the whole way up until almost the summit. We found the snow to be between firm and slightly slushy but nothing too bad.
Around 1950 m we found a spot that we found tricky to go around, and given my relative lack of experience, we decided to leave this to another day. I’m sure most people could have continued from where we were.
The trail has great views of a lot of mountains in the area, and we didn’t see anyone else the entire day, so we found it pretty enjoyable, and a good place to practice.
On the way down, we found a mini pond skim forming to climbers right of the main cat track up. Didn’t go check it out since we weren’t on skis.
